I have been thinking and praying about sharing this message with you for a while now. Recently, relatives, friends and acquaintances have passed on, possibly some of whom you also knew. Others have been diagnosed with cancer and other serious illnesses. Certainly we all know someone that falls into this category. All of this has weighed heavy on my heart and mind. You see, my concern, as we all get a little older, is where will we spend eternity? For certain I know that when I leave planet Earth I will live forever in the Kingdom of Heaven. I fear no death. I have this guarantee because of my commitment to and my relationship with Jesus Christ. Yes, it is a guarantee. There is no hoping, guessing or rolling of the dice. There is no “maybe I’ll get there.” Once your life is surrendered to Christ and you have received Him into your heart and life as your personal Savior and Lord, you receive the guarantee of entrance into heaven.

Let me stop here and suggest that you not examine or judge me or my life for I certainly am a sinner. Romans 3:23 is crystal clear: “We have all sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.” No kidding! If I could turn the clock back to when I was a little kid and begin then to avoid sinning, I would do it in a heartbeat. I hate sin and try to avoid it when it comes my way. Unfortunately, sometimes we lose that battle between good and evil, which I have on numerous occasions.

Therefore, as I share this with you, do not look at me or, for that matter, at anyone who shares the message of Jesus Christ with you, for you will just find a sinner saved by grace. Instead, look up. Actually turn your eyes skyward and look up at Jesus, the one who poured out His blood and died on the cross for you and me. Examine Him. Judge His life. Take a good long look at Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Now I know that you are all saying to yourself “Hey, I’m a good person.” We know that. Of course you are a good person. However, being good, doing good deeds, donating to good causes, volunteering for good organizations that provide services to needy people can’t get you or anyone into heaven. Think about it. If good could, then why did Jesus live a perfect and sinless life for 33 years and then allow himself to be beaten, scourged, humiliated and crucified? Simply put, good can’t get anyone into heaven. He made it clear when He said that He himself was the only way anyone would ever enter through the gates of heaven.
Yes, I know some of you are very religious. Well, sorry to say that doesn’t work either. Being religious and following rules and guidelines of religion will never get anyone into heaven. It does not matter what religion that may be, not Catholic, nor Protestant, Jewish, Islam, Episcopalian, Baptist, or any religion. There are obviously some good things about various religions. It is just that being a member of a religion, religious organization or a church will never get anyone into heaven. Remember, Jesus never said to follow a religion.

So I would ask that you carefully read and follow along with these two verses from the Gospel of John, probably one of the most important passages in the entire bible.

In the Gospel of John, Chapter 10 verses 27 and 28, these are the words of Jesus himself: “My sheep (meaning His true believers, what we call Christ followers) listen to my voice (not the voice of religious leaders or philosophers); I know them (as one of his believers He knows you personally) and they follow me (they follow Jesus not religion made by man) and I give them eternal life.” (He freely gives you entrance into
heaven because you are one of his believers, a Christ follower. Again, you see you can’t earn your way to Heaven, buy your way, climb your way, beg your way, or donate your way to heaven. There is only one way, through Jesus Himself.)

Jesus continues in verse 28 and He says that “they (His believers) will never perish (you can figure that one out for yourself) and no one can take them out of My hand.” (What that means is when someone truly repents of their sin and gives their life over to Jesus, regardless of their future sins and mistakes that they will commit, which we all certainly will do, you cannot lose your guarantee of salvation!)

Okay, so some of you are having a good laugh because you don’t really take this seriously. Well, I am glad that I was able to bring some humor into your life today. Maybe some of you are angry with me. I am sorry about that, but please don’t be angry with me; be angry with Jesus if you would like. I am only sharing His words and His message. Maybe some are considering the seriousness of what I have said. If so, seek out a local Bible believing,
evangelical church and speak to someone there, or email me at: TomSaab@ChristianFilmProductions.org.

I would ask you to do me one personal favor, and that is to read the Gospel of John. The Gospel of John is the fourth book of the New Testament. Don’t freak out. I am not asking you to read the entire Bible, just one of the 66 books in the Bible. Please read the Gospel of John not once or twice but three times. It does not have to be three times in a row. Spread it out over two or three days if you like. But pray before you read it each time and ask God to speak to you personally and to help you understand His message. Out of all of the books in the Bible, the Gospel of John is the most widely referenced and the most revealing. It is also fairly simple to understand what Jesus is trying to share with you. May God bless you and speak to you personally as you read His words in the Gospel of John.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and don’t forget the guarantee.
